Short biography
Karin van Baardwijk is widely regarded as one of the most influential leaders in the Dutch asset management sector. She began her career in consulting and progressed step by step within Robeco, moving from roles in operational risk and internal control to CIO, COO, and ultimately CEO in 2022. Under her leadership, Robeco has taken on a leading role in sustainable and impact investing. She grew up in the province of Brabant, studied corporate law and economics at Utrecht University, and now lives in Maarssen with her husband and two sons.
