Short biography
Choy van der Hooft-Cheong is a Dutch banking executive and a long-time ABN AMRO leader. Born and raised in Curaçao, she moved to the Netherlands at 18 to study in Rotterdam. She joined ABN AMRO in 1996 as a management trainee and built a career across the bank, spanning corporate banking, global markets and private banking. Since late 2021, she has served as Chief Commercial Officer Wealth Management and Member of the Executive Board at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., responsible for the Wealth Management and Private Banking client franchise. Alongside her executive role, she is active in inclusion and social impact. She is Chair of Stichting Talent naar de Top, advocating for a more inclusive top of Dutch business. She also co-founded Children’s Khazana Foundation, inspired by her time living in India, focused on helping children develop basic financial skills and confidence.
